Questions and Answers: All You Need to Know About Sittings HERE
1. All Tuition Plans:
50 TICKETS - All school families, regardless of their contract plan, are required to purchase 50 tickets as part of their commitment to St. Clare's. However, we would like to encourage you to purchase additional tickets in support of our school. Please forward additional ticket-purchase requests to Mrs. Aggarao (4th Grade). You may contact her at Jeanifer@comcast.net or by calling 973-450-8687. She will also assist you with any information or concerns you may have regarding this fundraiser.
All payments must be sent in an envelope to Mrs. Aggarao (c/o 4th Grade) no later than November 9. Please make the check payable to St. Clare School – HASA and clearly print on the envelope your full name and your oldest child’s grade. Submit the ticket stubs with your payment.
2. Tuition Plans A and C:
SITTING HOURS - All the families must purchase 50 raffle tickets ($50) which they may keep or sell. In addition, Plan A and Plan C families serving but no chairing in a committee (“committee people”) have to choose and comply with one of these two financial obligations:
· Choice: Sittings ($50 + $200)
Families will have the financial responsibility to sell a minimum of $200 in raffle tickets in addition to the $50 that they must purchase as stated above. They may sell their tickets by booking sitting hours, as coordinated by the committee chairs. The family may sit a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 15. Each booking period is five hours. The family’s financial obligation ends after selling 200 tickets ($200). For example, if the family sells 200 tickets within the first or second sitting periods, there is no need to book any other times. Also, if a family decides to sit for 5 or 10 hours and decides not to do anymore sittings even though they have not sold the minimum of 200 tickets, the family may “buy out” the remaining sitting hours by paying the school the difference between what they have sold and the $200 financial obligation. For example, a family has sold 60 tickets during their first sitting and chooses not to sit again. This family may “buy” their remaining 10 sitting hours by paying $140 ($200 - $60). Finally, if a family sits for the maximum of 15 hours and does not sell the minimum of 200 tickets, the family will be financially responsible to purchase the difference between the tickets sold during the sittings and the contractual obligation of selling 200 tickets. For example, if a family has sold a total of $160 in tickets during 15 hours of sittings, they will be responsible to purchase $40 ($200 -$160).
· Choice: No Sittings ($50 + $250)
Families will have the financial responsibility to buy, in lieu of sittings, a total of $250 in raffle tickets in addition to the $50 that they must purchase as stated above.
BOOKING YOUR SITTING HOURS - Contact Mrs. O’Donnell at 973-779-3648 on or before September 21 to make the sitting reservation. If we don't hear from you by the 21st, we will assume that you are not doing the sittings and you'll be responsible to purchase the extra $250 in tickets.
Please visit this site soon to see the store hours available this fall. NOTE: The hours will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
