Happy New Year from your friends at the HASA Board!
Everybody is talking about Breakfast with Santa! According to attendees, this was the best ever … We had close to 200 people, and once again, thanks to the generosity of many families who donated their talents and financially supported the event, we were able to run it expense free.
We also want to thank the Christmas-Tree “Men” who stood in the cold and snow selling trees and, as always, did a wonderful job. Finally, thanks to the Secret Santa chair for helping our children do their holiday shopping. It was a lot of work, but the happiness in our children’s eyes when we open their presents makes it all worthwhile.
The holidays are over, but we have many events in the spring to keep us busy. January 12 is our International Dinner: food from many countries and lots of music and dancing. If you have not ordered your tickets, please do so soon. The price goes up after January 4.
The Shamrock Sweepstakes will end February 1. Please send in your $100 payment and ticket stubs before the deadline. All families, regardless of contract plan, must participate.
The February 8th Fish ‘N Chips Dinner tickets will be on sale soon, and we count on everyone’s support for its success. You may eat in or order take-out. We have a new restaurant doing the cooking, and the owners are St. Clare School parents! Please help us sell as many tickets as possible by advertising this event to your family and friends.
While the Yard Sale on March 9 is still two months away, now is the time to start planning. Please pack all those great toys, books, clothing, house decorations, unopened presents, etc., and put them in your basement or attic. It is our hope that every St. Clare family will donate a minimum of 8 boxes of good stuff for this new fundraiser. HASA is open to new ideas, and we have high hopes for this event.
Have we gone “Kooky”? You bet! The new Kooky Pens are here! You may purchase them at the front office.
Sister Joseph is asking HASA for your assistance. She is in desperate need of Lunch Monitors. Please contact the office for more information.
The Board is trying to improve communication in several ways--one is by having all families on our email distribution list, so they may receive information and important notices related to what HASA does. If you are not on our list, please email us so we may add you. We are at HASA@saintclareschool.com
On behalf of the little angels at St. Clare, thanks for all that you do and have a healthy and prosperous New Year!
