PARENT/GUARDIAN COOPERATION - The involvement and cooperation of parents/guardian is essential for a student's success in school. A parent's support of school policies and procedures is essential also for the smooth functioning of the school. An essential element of parental cooperation includes supporting the school and school personnel in the presence of children.
TEACHER AND PARENT/GUARDIAN - Our common concern, a complete Catholic education and success for each child, is accomplished when there is a positive relationship between school and home. Parents/guardians take part in their child's experience, and "there is a kind of reciprocal accountability: of school to parent and parent to school." Teach Tem - Statement on Catholic Schools. We endeavor to establish a true partnership with parents, the primary teachers, by combining our strengths for the welfare of the children. A cooperative, respectful, caring, and supportive attitude is reflected in open, honest communication, both verbal and written, concerning academic and social progress. As stated in Teach Tem - Statement on Catholic Schools, "The benefits of home and school partnership are so evident that all parents should be made aware of their duty to be full partners with the school."
HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION - The Saint Clare Home and School Association (HASA) has been highly involved in supporting our children and school. All parents/guardians are urged to participate actively. Meetings are held four times during the year and are announced in advance. Attendance by at least one parent/guardian is mandatory.
Each year the HASA sponsors fundraisers and other projects, which benefit the students of the school. With the help of all parents/guardians, these endeavors are very successful.
Visit HASA's Website for further information.
PARENT/STUDENT HANDBOOK (coming up soon on line!)- The purpose of this handbook is to provide information about Saint Clare School and to delineate procedures and policies. The handbook was prepared in order that parents, students, and staff can work together in the best interest of the students. We are going to publish the handbook on this website. Please visit again for updates.
PARENTS' TESTIMONIALS - We have been asking St. Clare parents to contribute to the monthly newsletter by writing about "What St. Clare School means to our family...". Here are the testimonies for this school year: Testimonials
DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP YOUR CHILD - There have always been regulations concerning the dropping off and picking up of the children.
-
No double parking.
-
After the child leave the car, the parents must leave to make space for someone else as everyone is to park next to the curb.
-
No making U-turns at any time.
-
No blocking the school yard driveway.
-
No walking on the grass.
-
The children are to walk through the school yard to meet their teacher and classmates. Do not bring them through the building.
These regulations must be followed by everyone. There was almost a serous accident in the past and we don't want anyone to cause or be in an accident. Anyone who does not want to cooperate will have their TAG number taken and given to the police.
